Traditional tutoring often focuses on short-term homework support. Tami Tutor focuses on skill development, accountability, and measurable long-term progress.

📚

Traditional Tutoring

  • Homework-first and test-prep driven sessions
  • Limited structure outside each meeting
  • Short-term fixes for immediate assignments

How Tami Tutor Works

Each student follows a structured cycle of instruction, support, and progress review. Exact cadence varies by plan.

1
Scheduled Session Days

Focused Learning Sessions

Sessions are structured around current goals and subject priorities, with direct instruction and active application.

Instruction block: Core concept teaching and guided examples
Application block: Practice, discussion, and correction in real time
2
Between Sessions

Support and Accountability

Students receive support and check-ins according to plan level, with clear expectations for follow-through.

Plan-based support: Additional guidance for homework and challenges
Progress checks: Ongoing review of understanding and completion
Parent updates: Communication aligned with selected plan level
3
Continuous

Ongoing Tracking & Adjustment

I track comprehension, consistency, and outcomes, then adjust instruction to keep the student moving forward.

Building Learning Foundations

I focus on how students learn, not just what they are assigned. That means identifying specific barriers, setting clear goals, and using consistent instruction to improve results.

Grades matter, but they are not the only signal. I also track understanding, consistency, and engagement so families can see whether real progress is happening.

My Internal Learning Metrics

📊
Concept Mastery
Depth of understanding rather than surface-level recall
🎯
Engagement Quality
Active participation and curiosity during sessions
🔄
Learning Process
How students approach problems and overcome challenges
📈
Growth Trajectory
Consistent improvement over time, not single-test performance
